Nel viaggio Omo River in Etiopia con Avventure nel Mondo nel 2006 abbiamo visitato Turmi, e ci consentì di vedere il bellissimo mercato del popolo Hammer, che si tiene ogni lunedi del mese.Il mercato offre oggetti di artigianato locale e frumento e vegetali che vengono venduti o scambiati tra loro.Una grande animazione in tarda mattinata indica l’inizio del mercato che si protrae fino a metà pomeriggio.
